Hotel Octavia - Cadaques

The stay was pleasant with a great view of the sea from the balcony. The room was very modern and clean, which made it enjoyable to relax after a day of exploring. We faced some challenges with parking when we arrived, but discovered that we could park at the main car park nearby and get our ticket validated at the hotel, which helped a lot. The location was super convenient for dining and checking out local attractions like the Museo de Cadaques nearby.

The breakfast was delicious with variety of pastries, cheese and meats. Its location was particularly good, close to ocean.

The employees are affable and welcoming.

Consider using the local bike rental for a unique way to explore Cadaques and surrounding areas. It's a fun and eco-friendly option.

Spacious triple room and friendly reception and breakfast staff. The hotel is in the city center which was great for restaurants, shopping, beach access and sightseeing. Secure parking close by.

The large bedroom and bathroom. Central Location. Enjoyed that it was a small hotel - easy access in and out. Free parking - while remote it was a nice feature. Access to wifi in lobby for a few euro coins handy.

It is probably standard in 2-3 star hotels in Europe but a couple of extra pillows would be nice.

The staff were helpful, our check-in was smooth. The air conditioning provided a perfect escape from the summer heat. Rooms were spacious with fresh linens.

Noisy church bells every hour at night and the room faces a backyard filled with noisy patrons from a nearby bar. The hotel doesn't turn on air conditioning until summer, leading to warm rooms in late spring.

The centrality of the location. The staff allowed us to leave our car in the car park after we checked out.

Rather spartan rooms. Breakfast buffet was poor. Staff didn't speak Catalan. Generally, the hotel was expensive for what it offered, and therefore not very good value for money.

Octavia is a great location around a block and a half from the bus station and also close to the beach, so access is very easy if relying on public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful, although not fluent in English. (Not an issue for me, but some might feel challenged) The room was spotless, large and very nicely decorated and the bathroom was wonderful. The hotel is near many nice restaurants and there is a supermercat across the street, The Dali House/Museum is a short walk over the hill to Portlligat and easy to find with a map from the front desk. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a lot of variety. The staff was kind enough to allow us to go in early as we had to catch an early bus. The town is very pretty and if I decide to return to see more of the Costa Brava, I would definitely stay there again!

Recommend it for families with children

The location is perfect! Just a minute to the waterfront and a supermarket right across the street, super convenient! I really appreciated the spacious room with a large bathroom that had a powerful shower.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable.

It is clean and reasonably spacious hotel, the staff are consistently courteous and location by the beach is perfect and exceptionally nice. Airy bright rooms, they are provided with good sized balcony, interesting goodies, as example. The breakfast was delicious, we really enjoyed a wide array of meals.
